Greetings! I am a brand new contributor hoping that the community can help me identify the technical issue/s that got my sandy snowman pic rejected. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth trying to fix and re-submit. Thans in advance for any advice!

2 things:

You over sharpened the picture. And you have missing details in the whites, as shown by @@MNiessenPhoto.

I agree with @Nancy OShea, this is a refreshing picture. But I fear that your iPhone did some bad processing to this. If, however, you resubmit it, errors corrected, I hope that you can add a property release as the snow woman may be considered as an artwork and the original creator needs to agree to this add into stock.

Hi,

It's quite noisy and there are blown out highlights:

Hope that helps,

Michael

Oh I love it!!!

And not just because I live in sunny Southern California.  🙂

Examine your image at 100-300% magnification.  And open your Histogram panel.

The exposure level needs slight correction.  It's a bit too light.

There is also noticeable grain and some artifacts that you can probably smooth out easily enough in Photoshop or Lightroom.

I hope it gets accepted. It's so refreshing to see something quirky & original.
