Acceptance into Stock inventory doesn't mean much if nobody buys it.  Creating assets that customers want and are willing to pay for is the golden ring that you should reach for.

Ask yourself these questions before you submit.

  • Who will buy this?
  • What will they use it for commercially? Posters, t-shirts, calendars, magazine/TV ads, product packaging/labels...
  • Is my work as good or better than what Stock has right now?
  • How many other assets like this am I competing with -- ten thousand, 100 thousand, 20 million, or more?

Visually inspect your work at 100-300% magnification.  Fix all errors if you can in Photoshop or Lightroom.  Otherwise, discard it from your stack.  Only submit your best quality images.  That should help reduce your rejection rate.

Read your Stock Contributor User Guide.  There is good information here to help you.

Hope that helps.

IMG_0008.jpg - not in sharp focus; Adobe Stock is overrun with cat images, so don't waste time uploading them; just take them for your own enjoyment.

Flower - not in sharp focus and the framing treatment is unacceptable for Adobe Stock. Similar to the above comment, Adobe is already overrun with flower images, so don't bother uploading any unless they're technically perfect, unusual and compelling.

IMG_0009.jpg - same as 1st comment above; in addition to unsharp focus, you have chroma noise and artifacts

IMG_0115.jpg - not in sharp focus, underexposed, B&W conversions not accepted by Adobe Stock

IMG_0118.jpg - oversaturated, not in sharp focus

In terms of getting more images accepted / sold on Adobe Stock, concentrate on subjects that aren't already over-represented in the database. (such as Cats, dogs, flowers, plants, trees, clouds, sunsets, sunrises)  Regarding how to improve your photography and editing skills, there are many online resources. I like the courses offered by creativelive.com.
