Hello everyone, could you tell me why this photo was rejected? The issue cited is its technical quality, but I don't understand where the flaw lies; when I view it at 100% magnification, there are no blurry areas (or at least none that I can see). Thanks to everyone for your replies.
Merci Nancy.
Too much of your photo is out of focus due to too much of a narrow depth of field. There are also areas with chromatic noise The overall image quality is poor.
I loaded the photo in Lightroom where I could see that Blacks and Whites are both missing from the histogram. When I adjusted to correct this, I noticed magenta blotches in the sky that also need to be repaired.m
This is a great photo, in my monitor it looks as it should. ½ stop brighter and it would be too bright in my opinion. It’s not clear to anyone how Adobe is using AI to pre screen assets, in my opinion it’s crazy to think they are not using it. Last week I uploaded about 35 new photos and ½ were rejected. Yesterday afternoon I uploaded 15 new ones plus 10 rejected lack week. To my surprise this morning all the photos rejected last week were accepted, and 15 of the new ones too, the rest are pending.
That’s the way it is, and we have to other recourse but accepting it, and not let it keep us from making this work for us. Maybe try making it a bit brighter without loosing the white detail in the crashing waves, then resubmit at a different time and day of the week.
I said this is a great photo… and every time I see it I like it more and more, I would hang it on my wall.
I’d suggest you do not resubmit this photo. Too much of it is out of focus. Landscaping need a smaller aperture setting than what your camera is set at. Keep practicing and try to improve your photography.
You can gather more information here about what is required for successfully getting your files accepted.
If the monitor brightness is too high, you will not be able to view the image at the correct brightness level. When checking the focus, please zoom in to 100% on your PC monitor. You should be able to see that the focus is set on the sandy beach in the foreground.
