Hello,

Composition is a big issue here. This shot is great for the family album, but not for stock.

The image has to have commercial value, and there are loads of 'pet' photos already in the stock database!

Looks like a really nice family pet.

You're competing with over 11 million other dog assets in Stock. Due to so much competing inventory, the chances of making a sale are kind of slim. So use this more as a learning exercise.

Adobe Stock customers expect the highest visual and technical quality for use in commercial projects.

Good luck.

Besides the composition issues and the messy background, you also have artefacts typical for small sensor cameras. Ideed, the software has "optimized" some of the fur into a blurry mass, as you often see with such assets. And the snout is not as detailed as it should be, which also points to some processing issues caused by the in-camera processing unit.

Next time, stage the photoshoot in such a way, that no disturbing background elements, like the papers, or the knee are in view. And be careful to crop the asset correctly.

I agree with @Jill_C , however your photo can easily be saved.

It's a cute photo, but I would suggest you do a search for images of dogs on Adobe Stock to see what you are competing with. There's nothing wrong with submitting images of one's family pet, but the casual surroundings in this image would not appeal to most buyers.

Adobe Community Expert | If you aren't submitting your assets in sRGB, you probably didn't read the rules.

Composition seems to be the issue here. You've cut off the dog's paws and tail, and the person's knee in the frame should have been edited out.
