photos rejected

Why these photos are rejected after submitting first time?

Please give possible reasons and solutions too.

Reasons like: subject is not in focus, too noise in image, not sellable etc.

I will be very thankfull for your reply.

First of all: Adobe gave you a refusal reason on each of your pictures. PLease share that information with us when asking why a picture got refused.

Now for your pictures in question:

sunset when birds is returning emotional scene.jpg  : I suppose that you got a "Technical Issues" refusal. You have some sensor hotspots and you have dust/dirt either on the lens or the sensor.

 

There is also a noise problem. In addition I see a banding problem in the orange. The colour profile is ProPhoto, if I'm correct, but requirement is that the picture's colour profile is sRGB. Generally: sunset/sunrise pictures need to be perfect in all senses because they are in huge numbers in the stock database, so Adobe can be very picky on such images.

 

sunset dark and emotional view.jpg : similar image, same defects.

beautiful sunset emotional.jpg : similar image and that is also a refusal point. 

landscape sunseting.jpg : same camera same defects but in addition, you have a bad framing, I would expect the complete tower in the image. All of the images are not very sharp (in focus), but this one is really out of focus.

 

All in all: even that the images are not mainstream, I think that they could have passed if defect free, at least partially. With careful editing, you can get ridd of most of the defects (sensor hotspots, dust), but when the picture is out of focus, it's quite lost. I can only explain the high noise level with heavy editing as you did shoot with ISO100.

Hi @OC_Photos ,

In addition to what is being said, of which the main thing has to do with your file color, I believe the main reason for rejection is because details are lost in the shadowy areas. The black is too black, and would not be suitable for printing.

      It looks to me as something has happend with the lens - like the trees are dragged out like you can see in extreme wide angeled lenses towards the edges. Only thing I can think of. Dont know if it was helpful. Maybe it is wind that makes the effect.
