Hi everyone! I am new to the whole stock photos thing and have been uploading some of my photography. I have had 3 rejected out of 25 and none approved so far. All 3 rejections were from quality isssues, 2 of them I can understand after looking into them further but one I do not see why there is a issue. Also when I try to open the photo from the denied images section the quality is worse than original so I don't know if the upload process is affecting it.

  • Your subject is not framed properly.
  • There are focus issues on the stem.

I wouldn't spend a lot of time on this.  Adobe Stock contains over 4 million pink roses This subject is not in high demand.  The key to success is finding subjects that have little or no representation and take multiple exposures at different camera settings, angles and focal distances.  The best images tell a story or convey a message.

Take 5 of your best shots.  Examine closely at 100-300% magnification.  Correct all problems if you can in Photoshop or Lightroom. Otherwise discard it from your stack.

Compare your best work with available Stock inventory.  If it's as good or better than what Stock has, go ahead and submit it.

Since you're new to Stock, read these links for more tips:

Hope that helps.  Good luck.

The thumbnail you see on the "not accepted" tab is not the original file that you uploaded. You should always keep the exact version that you uploaded on  your hard drive in case you need to re-edit and resubmit it.

As @daniellei4510 indicated, Adobe doesn't need any more images of red roses, no matter how perfect. This one is not perfect. The composition is not optimum since you've cropped off the top of the bloom. There's a blown out part of one leaf. These issues are not fixable. If the rest of the images you've submitted are flowers, maybe you should reconsider your approach to stock photography...

Adobe Stock is saturated with flower images, so getting them accepted is tough. Do a search for flowers (turn off AI and only search for Images) to see what you are competing against.
