Hi,

Please could someone provide some fedback on why these two images might have been rejected due to technical issues so I can be more careful before submitting next time . I had some accepted and these two  rejected.  I have some ideas but would appreicate the feedback.

Any comments welcome ,

Many thanks

Correct answer Abambo

First is heavily underexposed (see histogram). You will in addition have IP refusals, if you do not photoshop out all identifiers and logos.

Second has underexposed shadows. The framing could also be better. Those metallic holders for the bench behind are disturbing as this. A more open view would have been better.

Thank you for such as speedy response ,

Agreed although the first image is late evening twilight and it was going dark.  Would it be worth increasing exposure and ensuring any boat names are removed or would the IP issue be because crane could easily be identified and tied to a manufacturer.

The second image I will consider a re- shoot following your advice and then consider if it is worth submitting ( not sure how much intrest there is so will look at existing images in the library )

thanks again

You're welcome. I've edited my post to include the histogram for your first picture.
