I just checked my account. Some of my titles include hyphens. Some of those titles are for assets that sell. So it's a non-issue.

I have discovered that the use of hyphens also influences the search result. so I do assets with both.  Some with "close-up" and some with "closeup".

That's how people search for that keyword. It means also, that Adobe does not ignore hypens, but for search purposes, they may well set it to a white space. I would do...
