Please help me understand why this image was rejected for grain/noise

Here is the image: https://asn.ftcdn.net/jpg/01/88/98/60/220_F_188986057_saswje7QbuJZYO3AaC0aPyd2MHO7ZHOI.jpg and https://asn.ftcdn.net/jpg/01/88/98/60/220_F_188986087_lYbMY4XvldrJG3xhFGhWNyzlUbIKE63p.jpg, both were rejected for grain/noise with a note that processing in post could have contributed.

I normally take photos in a flat profile and then add minor colors...would submitting flats be better?

Any other advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

I understand your question in such a way that you want to know how you can recognize the reason for your refusal Grain/Noise in your picture.

Here is an enlargement from the first picture:

Here is an enlargement from the second image:

You can recognize the image noise by the grainy, pixelated appearances in some areas of the image. Depending on the camera you are using, these effects can be caused during the shooting or by excessive post-processing.

Why resurrect threads from 2 years ago?

I don't think the OP is around anymore, do you?

Hi,

the pictures you have linked are too small to be able to judge something. Especially with the topic noise/grain. You can also insert them directly here as a higher resolution image.
