Property Release Rules

Hi All

I am just trying to understand the property release rules.  Is a release needed to photograph board games - such as Monopoly. I would have thought this was both trademarked and recognisable and therefore would be carefully controlled however I see many images of Monopoly available for sale on Adobe Stock and so am unsure what is allowed. As a buyer how can I tell if an image has a property release and who from?  Just looking as a buyer on Adobe stock doesn't seem to answer that question.  Your thoughts would be appreciated...
