Hello, I have a problem with my submission. Apparently it was declined due to a quality problem. I wanted to reach out and ask, what is wrong with these pictures.

The top 2 are blurry and underexposed, and the subject is too small in the frame.

    Hey @Jill_C

Did you feel the earth move?

On TV it looked like a thrust quake.

Regarding the quality issue, it is because the subject appears completely black due to the backlight.
If the footage had been bright and clear, it might have been rejected due to IP issues if it was a commercially produced drone.

I don't think it would help. There is no detail in the picture at all. I understand you want to keep it in the shadows, but it's the detail that sells the picture.

The point was to make the pilot non-recognizable so I could work with the general term of an “FPV drone pilot”, not Jan the FPV drone pilot. I don’t really get why that should be a problem… For the first two pictures, do you think it would help to crop in? Thank you very much for your response!

But if it’s easy, by way of adjusting exposure or by any other means, it would require a model release. Buyers don’t always purchase images “as is,” but may crop, enlarge, adjust exposure, etc.

You could always try, but I don’t think cropping would help. Do a search for drones on Adobe Stock and take a look at your competition.

The subject is too small in the top two and I don’t think the silhouette works here. You’d also need a model release, since if you open up the shadow the subject becomes recognizable.
