Correct answer Nancy OShea

OK, let's put it another way that might make more sense.

1. Customers come to Stock and search for assets by keywords.

2. When you submit an asset, you choose the best keyword for your subject so customers can find it in searches.

With that in mind, what is your keyword for this?

  • Now search Adobe Stock Inventory for this keyword and compare your image with what Stock has right now.
  • Is yours better?  As a customer, would you buy it?

Maybe now you understand why subject & composition are vitally important in Stock Photography.  No subject, no composition, no sales. ☹

Hope that helps.

Hello,

What is the aim of this shot? Is it just a jumble of road signs? Was that the intention?

Composition plays a crucial role in photography - as well as in stock photography!

Hi,

can you also tell us what the reason for denying was? I also assume it could be that the Car and Jacket in the Background are recognizable. Also, the Stop Sign is overlapped by another sign, so it's not usable for any kind of other composing. Hope that helps.

It was the general reason: Quality Issues. That's it. Yeah, I agree the image is quite messy with regards to signs.:)

I think @Test Screen Name is right. The composition and cropping is not good.

Even as this size we can see the composition is not as good as it could be. What is important and what is incidental? Why? Why is a car visible? This looks like a random shot not a carefully posed story.

It wasn't meant to tell any story in the first place. Not all the photos are uploaded here to tell some stories.

I mean I know the composition of the image is essentially absent. That's intentional: it just shows road signs with the main focus on the stop sign. Alhough I haven't heard about the photos rejected due to composition issues.
