Quality Issues rejection

Hi, I took such photos with flash lighting and low ISO. They were rejected due to low quality. What could this be about? Depth of field too small?
Iso 200, F/8, 1/200s Canon 5dm3 Sigma A 70mm macro.

Hello Piotr,

I also think that the DOF is too narrow. As you are using a macro lens, the DOF is going to be shallow, so you should increase it.

Hi @Piotr28057429h0r8 ,

The edge of your subject should be of such it can be separated from the background. If you look closely, some sections blend in with the background, thus harder to separate.

Best wishes

Jacquelin

Check your histogram. I think the whites are missing, so the pictures are underexposed.

I see two problems:

1-- depth of field is too shallow. (f/8 is not enough when you are so close to the object)

2-- the background (bottom) needs to be black and cleaned up.
