Quality Issues - why?

I don't understand what 'technical issues' are causing this image to get rejected. It seems to be crisp and in focus, very little editing was done: basic color correction in Lightroom, and one 'repair' to remove a small limb which I can see no evidence of in the end result. Can anyone tell me exactly what the problems are with this image so I can avoid them in the future?

It's a lovely scene, however nothing seems to be in sharp focus, which is quite apparent when you zoom in beyond 100%. The verticals are also slightly leaning which is a quick fix in Lightroom. Had it been in sharp focus, you most likely would have received an IP rejection for the sign on the building and the people in the foreground if they were recognizable.

The photo is not in focus and the shadows are slightly underexposed. Also, a little too blue.

Washed out colours are the main defect here. But indeed, you would need a model release for the people in the boats and the logos should be edited out. If the artefacts are baked into the file, you can't save this.

In general, you need to remove logos and signs from cityscapes and street scenes. Those trademarks are protected Intellectual Property, and you cannot make commercial use of them.

Hi @trozl,

Its a nice shot. However, it has chromatic noise and white balance issue.

The overall quality of the grove is not good. There are evidence of damage pixels. It would appear this photo was taken with a camera with small sensor.

When zoomed in to between 100% and 200%, there are several areas that don't have much fine detail in them like the trees and the rocks in the foreground. The people in the boats in the water are distorted to my eyes as well.
