Quality issues with photo

Dear community,

I recently submitted these photos. The one with the yellow flower was accepted whereas the pink flower in the tree was rejected due to Quality issues.
I must admit, I am new to Adobe and don’t understand the exact reasons for this decision. If anyone has constructive feedback, please let me know :)

Hope to hear from you soon!

IMO, the yellow flower should have been refused for a poorly focused foreground. But that’s how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

Start by reading through your Contributor User Guide. It contains important information that everyone must know before they submit. Start with the 4-part section on photography below:

I’m not being hyperbolic when I say flowers are one of the most over-represented keywords in Stock. The competition for views & sales is really fierce. If you don’t have a perfect photo of a unique flower species, don’t submit. It will probably be refused for “similar content.”

    Good luck.

It appears to be an exposure issue. The highlights are so bright that they detract from the main subject.

The highlights in the second photo should be reduced as well. They are burned out.

In the second photo you need to open up the shadows. Then you should be ok.
