Hi, Pic1 was recently accepted but Pic2 was rejected for generic quality message.  Can anyone help me understand the reasons?  I had several other ocean sunsets rejected as well so trying to find what I can do better.

Correct answer Abambo

Pict2: sensor spot on the left side:

Unnatural blending of the clouds into the background (right side):

Sun area: Clipping of the whites.

Pict1 does not have the spot, the blending of the clouds is natural and the clipping, even if present, is less disturbing. However, the moderator did not see the colour noise in the water:

Thanks!  I see I missed the dust by submitting the wrong variant of the photo.

I'm not seeing the white clipping.  I had to completely blow out the whites before I saw any clipping.  Here is my histogram.

No more sunsets please. Adobe Stock has over 12 million sunsets. More than they need.

https://stock.adobe.com/search?k=sunset

To be successful at Stock, submit subjects that have less representation. Avoid low percentage sellers like sunsets, clouds, flowers, plants, trees and pets.

Submit only your highest quality images. Compare yours with current Stock inventory. Is yours as good or better than what Stock has?   Read these links.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Nancy.

Interesting though... Sunsets are some of my better sellers on Adobe and other services. Most of those are mountain sunsets though.

Great. I mean, great for you.

Nancy does not say that sunsets don't sell. But she says that due to competition, a sale of a specific sunset photo is not probable, except if it has some prior sales, which will put it ahead in search requests. That's how stock and stock search works.

The shadows in photo two are underexposed and there are some sensor spots.
