Hi everyone, quite new to the Adobe Stock Contributor world, I've submitted some photos. Some have been accepted (and sold ! A true miracle), and some have been rejected, most of them for "Quality issue" reason.

And I'd like to understand what's wrong with this rejected photos.

Photo is a hobby, I'm not a pro at all, and I wanna learn what could be improved about them.

Thanks in advance for your time on this matter.

Your prevailing problem is "improper exposure levels" either to much light or not enough.  Also your color balance is off.

Use your Histogram panel and make adjustments accordingly.

I also suggest experimenting more with focal distances to increase your depth of field.  Customers want sharply focused images.

Hope that helps.

Remember to write shallow depth of field and/or selective focus in your caption or keywords when you upload an image like the one with the lizard.

With more practice and guidance, I think you could be a really good photographer. Search the internet - YouTube and others or join a photo club/school. And last - but not least - look closely at the photos at Adobe Stock.

Hi everyone,

I've had a lot of denied photos recently. More than usual.

Some I may understand why. A bit harsh IMO, but OK.

But for others, I can't see why they've been denied for "quality issues" reason.

I mean for example the lion's head on the grass is sharp enough to see in his eyes (both of them) the 4x4 off-road car I was in when taking the picture. So why would it be denied ?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Pascal

Underexposed. It could be brightened up to at least see that there's actually a little house or shed in the landscape.

OK. That was my intention to get a pretty dark photo, but I see what you mean.

Thanks for the reply.

Thanks Nancy, much appreciated.

Problem is, I had only few seconds to shoot this gecko before it ran away. I had time to make sure head was on focus and... click. Oh, it's already gone ^^

Almost noon, bright tropical sun, withe wall under its feet, 200m focal et f/9 already set on the camera, difficult for the histogram to be well balanced and a longe range depth of field. Sometimes photo are just about luck, or unluck 😉

Thanks for the time you took to comment this photo. I'll try to be more carefull about these details for my oncoming submissions.

Regards

Pascal

Yes, sometimes you have such moments, where the camera settings are wrong. But if you can't correct, do not submit, as they won't pass.

Thanks to both of you for your replies.

Nothing about KRZ_01.jpg ?

This one I really don't understand the rejection.

Overall I think the photos are nice. Follow @Jill_C 's advice and you should not have any trouble.

KRZ_40.jpg - overexposed and too little in focus

KRZ_44.jpg - underexposed shadow area

KRZ_52.jpg - composition might be the issue. I would have removed that partial umbrella on the right

KRZ_38.jpg - focus is a bit soft and the beach slightly overexposed
