Hi @defaultgvae5y25bql6 ,

Too much of your subject is out of focus. As said the composition is not good. The eyes are sharp but too much negative space and bad angle for an eye shot, and most of the head is out of focus for a head-shot. You need to zoom your pictures to between 100 and 200% to inspect for faults. All your edges must be visible at 100%. the picture has a slight blue cast. This one cannot be corrected. Please try a new shot.

Best wishes

Thank you very much, this is really helpful to improve my pictures. I´ve had this kind of issues with this particular lens at f1.8 or even f2.8 (It is extremely smooth)

Do you recommend higher f-stops for stock pictures in general?

Hi @defaultgvae5y25bql6 ,

You need much higher f-stops which will make the aperture smaller and produce more depth.

Hola,

The cropping is too tight as well as the colour temperature is wrong. You need to adjust your white balance.

Read this about adjusting white balance:

I think there may be other people, much more expert than me, who will look at the close up detail and may have ideas about that.

I really appreciate your answer. Do you think thats the only reason?

Because I think I can fix that just by recovering the lost portion due my camera auto-cropping
