As Ralph has noted the entire face is not in focus; this is because your depth of focus was too shallow. This also exhibits the harsh lighting indicative of an on-camera flash, which is not desirable. The composition would have been improved if you had repositioned yourself so that the blanket filled the background, omitting the dark, messy area on the left altogether.
