Hi there,

Please could I get some feedback as to why images such as these are getting rejected? I initially thought it may be because of overexposure but after correcting that the images are still being rejected. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi @Craig Cordier ,

Both snakes displays noise when zoomed. They seem to be lacking contrast and are a bit underexposed. Both has focus issues with the first one the better of both.

Best wishes

Hello,

Overexposure? I think you mean underexposure. The two photos are way underexposed!

Look at your histogram!

Should be more like this:

Hi there,

Thanks for the response. My initial submissions looked very similar to that. I tried slightly lighter and darker, with the latest submission being perhaps too far on the dark side. I've submitted many before so I am a bit stumped why these are giving such issues. I will continue to adjust exposure and hope for the best.

Thanks very much for your input

You're welcome,

There may be other reasons, other than exposure. For instance, it might be a good idea to clean up the background -  get rid of the sticks for example. (Clone them out)
