Question

Reasons for this rejection due to quality issues?

Many of my recent uploads have been rejected. I re-read some of the rules and I can accept some of the issues, but if we're talking about quality issues…

I shoot photos and videos with a drone, a Mavic 2 zoom, and I know it's not the best option for quality, but we can say that the quality is acceptable. If we're talking about editing issues, overexposure, white balance, contrast, saturation, etc.… Well, then it can also be up to the person approving and their subjective opinion. They can reject any photo because they personally don't like how it was processed. Let's be clear, I'm not some kind of professional (I believe most people aren't) who can't stand criticism, I just want to point out that each of us has our own perspective on what looks good to them.
I don't use AI, but maybe there should be some AI tool that would process everyone's photos, videos, and other works so that we could have one universal standard for everyone.

I'm curious what was considered a quality problem here if not a single photo could pass…

Photos are 3992 x 2992 resolution

Almost all of this photos are rejected bacuse of quality issues except two which were characterized as “Similar content in our collection”.

Thanks and all the best!

    Hey @NS Propelleros

    these are cool images.
take a few minutes to clean up the images as well or bring up the colours. The images seem a bit flat (cool though).

There are tools within PS (Photoshop) that you can use to denoise and sharpen your images.
Quick Youtube search can help you learn how to sharpen your images and take out some of that noise.

    Cheers

    Hi @NS Propelleros

Noise grains are visible in the first picture when zoomed.

It’s the same for the second image and likely the same for all others. You need to inspect your photos zoomed at between 100 and 200% to check for issues and make corrections before submitting.

Regarding the use of AI, although Adobe uses humans to review stock files, they have introduced an AI assistant, which I believe might be responsible for many of the similar refusals when there is no similar file but a similar caption. Sometimes we need to think carefully and be careful about what we ask for, lest we get it.

    Best wishes

Stock looks at several factors when judging the potential success of an asset.

Do not submit an entire series. Carefully curate with the following criteria in mind. Submit only 1-3 of your very best images for review.

    Hope that helps.

Focus in the first image is a bit soft when zoomed in, and the left side of the frame is somewhat overexposed.

    Hello,

It is my guess that due to the fact it was taken with a drone camera–the sensor is small–so probabbly the quality is not so great when enlarged, as the case may be when people download the asset and then enlarge it. The photos look fine on a small screen, but viewed on a large screen/monitor or when printed problems may start to appear.

There is a slight blown-out highlight.
Images with blown-out whites or crushed blacks may be rejected.

Also, some photos were slightly tilted and not level.

Similarities include not only images that are similar to already registered assets, but also titles and keywords.

Furthermore, submitting multiple similar images may result in being flagged as spam.
