Recently, many accounts have been suspended or closed.

My China‑based account ran into issues on August 7th, and a friend of mine encountered similar problems around the same date. So far, neither of us has received an email explaining the reason for the restriction.

In which country are you seeing this?

Stock is a global business that must follow local & international trade regulations. Maybe something changed recently that Adobe has no control over. 

1. People who do stupid things win stupid prizes. That’s nothing new. 
2. Don’t believe everything you see on the internet. Most of what’s posted online is less than half of a two-sided story.
3. In the absence of both sides of the whole story, you can’t possibly know what the truth is. 

Take what you read online with a liberal dose of salt & skepticism.

Adobe will not reveal its internal account management practices. They’re not all being closed at the same time, though given that the total number of assets in the database hasn’t grown much lately, it does seem that they’re doing some housecleaning. There’s no doubt that many of the oldest AI images, and even some if the older photographs, needs to be purged.

Not only Adobe but, other agencies like Shutterstock too.
Submissions are checked for certain criteria such as sharpness which might give the impression that it was created using AI. Tools such as Lightroom, Photoshop, and Topaz Photography AI can cause this false interpretation. Repeated offense automatically results in the account being suspended.
This is my current situation with Adobe and Shutterstock has already falsely warned me.

Hey could you clarify that which in which country are you located in?

My personal opinion is that Adobe is having some issues with their fraud detection systems. My contributor account has been banned for ‘suspicious activities’ twice in the space of 3 months. Elevated downloads was the reason given but no further info. I’m a photographer who has zero AI or vector images in my port and I’ve had my account with no issues for 6 years.

I’m also seeing posts on reddit from Adobe customers saying their accounts are getting closed due to credit card fraud when they’re just normal people using Creative Cloud. Maybe when Adobe sees their customers complaining they may do something!

Adobe customers are also being quite loud on forums about unflagged AI content being rife in Adobe. I saw on another forum this morning that Adobe seems to be cleaning house with regards to unflagged AI content, their overall portfolio has dropped significantly in the last couple of weeks. Hopefully this will be the start of fixing things.
