Rechazo por "Contenido similar"

Hola.

Se me ha rechazado una foto aduciendo "contenido similar". Quisiera saber si este motivo hace referencia a las fotografías aparentemente similares que sube cualquiera o sólo a las que sube cada autor. Lo digo porque yo jamás he subido foto alguna que se parezca a esta. Gracias.

A "similars" rejection can mean either similar to other images you've submitted or similar to those from other contributors already in the database. But your image should have been rejected for technical issues. It's quite underexposed.

Hi @Jaume28175635bywv ,

Your files are not compared with other peoples files to arrive at a similar rejection. If that was the case most of us would get many more of our files rejected for similar. If this is one of a series of images that looks closely alike, (not necessarily alike) the moderator will give you a similar rejection. To be better able to help you I would need to see your public profile page so that I can compare this file to those already accepted.

In any case this file is underexposed and not in sharp focus.

Well put. "There is nothing new under the sun." I'm guessing the cause of this "similar images" situation is caused by some kind of filter that alerts moderators that there are too many images like this or that in the database. Because certainly the moderator cannot keep track of millions of images to know that. I'm also assuming it's up to the moderator to determine if he/she should ignore the flag or or reject them. If the latter, there maybe other issues fore the rejection. The moderators can only choose one.

I would like to know if this reason refers to the apparently similar photographs that anyone uploads or only those that each author uploads. I say this because I have never uploaded a photo that looks like this one. Thank you.

By you specifically, and anyone generally. But the moderator did select the wrong reason. It should have been "Quality issues".
