Recycle logo denied for Intellectual Property

I recently had a design with Recycle logo in it denied with the reason being Intellectual property. The recycle logo is in the public domain and has no trademark.

Yes, but moderators may still refuse it. There may also be other IP violations in your design.

Images in the public domain are not accepted from contributors. The contributor must be the owner of the image.

You have already asked a question about public domain images and it was explained to you that public domain is not accepted. Or at least, they should not be accepted.

Without seeing the image I can't say for sure, but Adobe won't accept public domain images unless they are unique. Maybe you can search for a Route 66 thread on the subject a month or so back.
