Refusal due to similarity?

Hello everybody,

one of my pics was refused because of similarity, but none of my pics that I now uploaded, nor one of my already existing pics in the portfolio is similar. It's just the opposite, two ducks hunting each other seems to be not that common at all, see the attached picture.

How can I proceed?

Thak you so much

Miguel

Correct answer RALPH_L

I assume the reason was a mistake.

The photo has various quality issues.

It has motion blur, the subject is too small and the white balance is too blue.

Although the wording in the actual rejection is a bit confusing, this refusal reason includes all Adobe Stock Photos, not just our own.

Cheers!

Hi,

I assume it is because there are a lot of ducks in the water as Stock Images and they look all similar to yours.

Maybe try different angles, lighting, etc. so yours unique.

Hope that helps.

Hi Hendrik,

thanks for your response. However, the refusal explicity says the picture is similar "to a picture that I already uploaded" - it says nothing about other stock photos. And in my portfolio there is no similar picture at all.

If I really need to check against all stock photos (which is impossible), how can I ever avoid similarities or track what is similar and what not? In the past, this was never the case, and as indicated, the refusal message tells a different story.

For me, this refusal is simply not justified.

Regards

Miguel

I'be certainly heard it said that the message is misleading because it can include existing images. It isn't to Adobe's benefit to have a lot of similar images come up when a user searches, so it seems reasonable that they prioritise the customer experience over accepting every supplier photo that meets technical requirements. When planning your photoshoots, do you first search on your proposed keywords/subject to ensure your work is distinctive?
