Question

Regarding showing file rejection without reason.

Hello,
Greetings from me!
I am a contributor to Adobe Stock. I am facing a problem a lot, and that is "Similar content in our collection". This problem is being shown in about 80 percent of the files in my account and being rejected. But when I prepare and upload a new file, I first check whether it has been published before the similar one, and then upload the file. While checking, I see that there is no exact or slightly different file that has been uploaded before. But my file is still rejected. This has happened not once but many times. Which is very sad.

You may know how much time it takes to prepare a file completely. But if at the end of the work, if you see it damaged, then your mind becomes very bad and there is a reluctance to work.

I hope the contributor team will look into this in a positive light.

Thank you.

If you can't handle rejection, don't be an actor or a Stock Contributor. 😊

This is what Stock has to say about 'similar content.'

You are free to stop contributing or to contribute more to other agencies, if that makes you feel better. As long as you contribute here, Adobe will make the rules.

All rejections are for reason. And contributors can't help here.

Checking this forum would have shown to you, that there are hundreds of people complaining about this refusal. Adobe thinks that their checking is working fine. You'll have to live with that refusal.

Some people think that reviewing carefully the titles and Keywords will help to overcome the issue, at least partially.

The answer to this problem is on this page.
It applies not only to similar assets, but also to titles and keywords.
If all your assets have the same title or keywords, they will be buried under other assets and will not appear in searches.

In the meantime, here are some hints:

1. Think outside the box. WAY outside the box. So far outside the box that you end up on the other side of the box.
2. Concentrate on CONCEPTS, not things. Or things that promote or symbolize a particular concept. Stress that concept in your titles or keywords.

3. Provide unique but accurate titles and keywords, and avoid or place at the bottom of the list any keywords recommended by Adobe Sensei.

The similar content issue has been around for months and many if not all contributors are affected by it to one degree or another. Search the forum for "similar content" to see what others are experiencing. The matter has been discussed at length.
