Hello everyone,

I`m a bit upset as I've uploaded thess images to Adobe Stock and one of them it's been rejected due to IP issues, I've tried to check every aspect and detail on the image and I cannot find any brand, logo or other elements protected.

I've uploaded a similiar image that was accepted and cannot understand why the other one is not.

Can you help me finding out what was the reason of refusal?

Image rejected: the one wearing red hood looking to the camera

Image accepted: the one wearing bloe hood looking to the candle

I assume these shots are from the Vatican in Rome (Pope Francis' funeral). Not really appropriate for commercial use. Don't you think?

Try submitting as Illustrative Editorial.  The worst they can say is 'NO.'

No, these shots are from Easter celebrations in Málaga, Spain. These processions take place every year in most Spanish cities and villages (Sevilla, Málaga, Granada, Cádiz , Córdoba, Valladolid, Zamora, Segovia, Madrid, etc.) They have no relation with Pope Francis' funeral.

Well, either way. Religious rituals would have very little commercial value.

The most you could expect is occasional interest for Editorial Use Only.

The red hood image might have been rejected because of the people in the background.

Thanks Jill, I've tried to upload It again, but I get a message asking for a model release.

The people on the background are out of focus. I'm Not sure if that would be the issue. Even if the main character is not recognizable do I need to upload a form?

Thanks again

Adobe's IP rejections can be quite variable. If they think either the main subject or any other people in the frame might be recognizable, they require a model release. Of course, if you didn't collect model releases at the time you shot the images, you can't supply the forms since they must be signed by the subjects.
