Hi everyone! My photos were rejected for quality issues and I was hoping someone could tell me why. I am just starting out selling stock photos so I would appreciate real criticsm. They were just on my phone, so I understand if that's the issue
Too much of the rose is out of focus. Also, there are signs of compression noise around the edge of the petals.
Too much of the second flower is out of focus. The blur in the forefront is distracting. There is also motion blur.
The third file is underexposed and noisy, as is visible in the sky. In addition to the quality issue there are recognizable people and the prints on the garments are IP issues.
The fourth file is noisy, not focused, underexposed and in general of very poor quality.
The fifth file is noisy and not in sharp focus
Not much of the sixth file that is in focus. It appears to display motion blur.
Landscape images needs a higher number F-stop to create more depth, thus having more of your images in focus.
20180605_175202.jpg - out of focus, not well composed - the entire bloom should have been in the frame, and over-exposed
IMG_20200411_163553.jpg - not well composed and blurry
9fd12131-686e-435f-b74e-de99eaf5d67d-1_all_436768.jp - blurry and noisy with many artifacts in the sky - zoom in to at least 100% and you'll easily see those artifacts.
These appear to be unedited mobile phone images. While mobile phone images can offer an acceptable level of quality under ideal lighting conditions, you generally still need to apply at least minimal edits.
Several issues. The first two flowers focus is the main issue. The baseball game exposure (shadows and highlights) are an issue. Also, model and property releases are needed for all identifiable persons and brand namesand logos. The landscape is again the exposure. The trolley needs a property release for the ad at the top. The ivy on the building is just bad. No composure, distracting objects and no aparent subject.
