Hello, the image I uploaded was rejected with the following reason: Unfortunately, we found that it doesn't meet our needs so we can't accept it into our collection. This is not the first image I've had rejected, but this image is exactly what made me curious.

That's part of a lot of the refusals. My best guess is that the refusal reason is NON-COMPLIANT IMAGE. That is either an issue with the content or the execution of the asset. In your case, I would guess that either the execution (shadow) or the subject (child with a knife) does not please Adobe's moderators. There is also an exposure issue and maybe a contrast issue with that picture.

BTW: I like the picture.

Whart makes you curios? Adobe has standards for it's customers and must enforce the standards through limiting questionable contributions. Read this page for further info:

Thank you. I hadn't read that. I've corrected myself 🙂 I had just encountered similar content and didn't know that there was such a standard.

Similar content is a quite old refusal, but that has been used agressively for the last months, so that we suspect that Adobe introduced a new tool for moderator's use, that flags about anything as similar. Adobe thinks that this is helping them to keep the database at a high level of diverse assets. I think that it is too sensitive. Adobe prevails.
