Rejected photo - Beginner

Hello.  First time posting a photo and it was rejected.  I would love to learn, so would appreciate your feedback.  Thank you!

In addition to what @Jill_C said: you have a lot of noise, which lets me think that have corrected the exposure substantially.

Furthermore, the grey plate and the grey background don't make a harmonic picture.

Depth of field is too shallow, causing too much of the image to be out of focus. The composition is messy and cropped too close with none of the cookies completely in the frame.
