Any help on why this image was rejected for Technical Issues would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi @Lewis5F92 ,

In addition to what is said, there is a slight white balance issue. To the side of the small finger, and joints is showing slightly blue. That needs to be corrected before uploading.

Best wishes

Nice picture, but there are some defects in the image:

  • There is a small amount of noise in the background, nothing to be worried about and if needed it can be corrected easily. (Personally I do not think this is the problem)
  • The eyes of the bird are sharp as required, the feather detail around is great, but the nut is blurred and this in a way that it looks like a fake blurr (in camera generated). The second foot on the hand, however in a similar plane like the nut is again crisp sharp as are parts of the hand much more in foreground.
  • In addition the image is slightly overexposed.

Abambo,

Cheers for your reply. I didn't edit the sharpness/ blur of the image at all in post - so all areas of sharpness in the photo are in the same focal plane, as captured in-camera.

I was happy with the detail/ depth of field but maybe it is too shallow for this sort of stock photo?

Try to correct the white balance and try again to submit. The birds eyes are sharp. May be it passes...
