Question

Rejection due to uploading a similar photo earlier

Greetings to all. I sent two photos. One was accepted and the other was not. Formulation - there was already a similar photo. There are different objects in the two photographs, I shot these webs in different places, the webs are different, and even though the frames are similar at first glance, the objects on them are completely different. Please tell me, that is, I can not upload more than one photo of the web? All subsequent photos of webs taken in other places in the backlight will not be accepted? The same is true for lightning, for example. All lightning discharges are similar, of course, but each one is unique. Will it be impossible to upload more than one frame with lightning?

They are not similar, and the refusal reason is erroneous. I think that they were vetted by the same moderator, one after the other and as the light is similar, the moderator just remembered your prior picture and refused on similar. As the moderators are humans, that can happen.

However, you have some background noise that I would address before submitting. The noise appeared probably during your processing.

Thanks for the reply. Does it make sense to re-upload the photo, perhaps with color changes, or can you get punished for this?
Do you think these two photos are similar? The second photo was also not accepted due to a similar.

Yes, they are similar. You should have moved your POV. I never submit similar pictures together. Chances are, high, that the same moderator checks them and remembers your prior submission. If he/she does not go back to look at what changed, you will get the refusal. In all other case, I suspect that they have a kind of "similar finder" and can check, if you made some variation.

And yes, you could be suspended for spamming the database, but I doubt that resubmitting a picture once or twice will make much harm, especially if you addressed the issue.

Yes, proper lighting is crucial.  I think I prefer the first one over the second one.  No need to submit them both.  Also compare your work with other Stock inventory to ensure that yours is as good or better than what Stock already has.

Thanks for the answer. I looked at the photo on your link and on the first page I saw two almost identical photos, the similarity of which is greater than that of my photos. Why were these photos taken?

They may have been gradfathered in from Fotolia or an outside stock agency.  I don't know. But approval over what is and isn't accepted is final.  You can't argue with Adobe about it.

We don't work for Adobe Stock.  We're just unpaid forum volunteers and fellow users.
