Question

Rejection rate increased in the last couple of months

Over the last 2-3 months my rejection rate went from 20% to almost 80%.

I wont be showcasing images here since i upload exactly the same quality like the past 7 years i joined Adobe.

I am very careful before uploading. I do my research and try to upload images that have a chance of selling. So far with a small portfolio of under 400 images i have sold 30% of them at least once and have a decent annual income.

With these constant rejections i think i will stop uploading. This has become fat too annoying.

Just perhaps, maybe, it is all part of the plan. Discourage people from uploading and only accepting what they think has a good chance of selling. In this way, it might help to reduce the plethora of images in the database - many of which are indeed 'similar'.

It may not be a problem in their system, but 'cleaning house'.

Or they could just tell people what they want instead of playing games and being all cryptic about it to the point where contributors have to guess.

They tell you. And they have a lot of submissions. So they may be picky.

It's what it is. But the big issue is not currently quality. It's the similar rejection inflation.

Many Contributors have reported the same issues. Since there's nothing we can do to ensure that our assets will be accepted, I have decided to halt new uploads for now until this problem is resolved. Many others have made the same decision. It's just too consuming to select, edit, upload, and add titles and keywords, just to have a large portion of the submissions rejected arbitrarily.

I've been having good luck with food for some reason. Eight food pics were accepted today, though one was a portrait and another (of food) rejected as being similar. It's also the first time in three or four weeks that I've had multiple assets accepted. Previously, it's been one acceptance with two or three being too similar. But this applies to older assets that had still been under review before this whole thing started. I only have eight under review at the moment, with two having been ignored for about three months.

Perhaps Adobe is tweaking the algorithm.
