Rejections: Intellectual property on sneakers

Hi

Had a video rejection on intellectual property.  The video had a close up of a pair of cheap sneakers that have no logo or trademark.

When I queried it the Adobe response was: They look like Converse sneakers.

They are not Converse sneakers though, I’m very confused that things are getting rejected because they could be be a well known brand.

Other videos with the same sneakers accepted.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks

Angela

The shape of an item can also be IP protected - think Apple iPhones and VW Beetles…

Also, Crocs, Peeps, PEZ candy, Fender guitars, Hershey’s Kisses, Coca-Cola bottles, LEGO bricks, Christian Louboutin (red soled) shoes, Weber BBQ grills…

    Hi Nancy

Thanks, but my point was there was no logo, trademark or even a shape on the sneakers. All clips accepted by other agencies.

Adobe Moderators often err on the side of caution when it comes to IP decisions. Unfortunately there’s nothing you can do to dispute their findings,

Thanks Gill - I thought the rules were pretty clear on this one  logos, trademarks visible - rejected.  Gonna be interesting if we get rejections because things look like other things.

    I’ve disputed it again anyway.

Thanks for your post - thought I was going crazy.
