Scientific plant name

I recently submitted a number of images of flowers keyworded in english except for the scientific name which is in latin.

They were refused as having non-english keywords. Deleting the latin name made them acceptable, but, scientifically the latin name is important.

Is there a way around this?

Correct answer RALPH_L

You can edit the keywords of the accepted images on your dashboard. The edits that you make bypass the review process so it should not be a problem to add the latin name.

The process is slow and manual, but yes, you bypass the review process. Abusing of that (putting in bad, irrelevant or IP protected keywords) will get you banned.

If the scientific names were correct, then the refusal was by error. But as there is no way to contest the refusal, there is no way to correct this. You can try to submit your next assets with those scientific names in the keywords and see what happens. A different moderator has perhaps a different perception of the situation.

It's strange that this would cause a rejection, because Adobe has specifically stated that adding Latin names to flora and fauna can be helpful to Buyers. I've had images accepted with Latin names. Nevertheless, for those that were rejected, you can delete the Latin names for now, and re-add them to the asset via our Dashboard after they're approved.
