Hello, there has been a serious decline in sales in the last two months. Are you experiencing this too?

I had really good August and September and October started off quite well, but in the past few days sales dropped considerably, and I don't understand why.

In the past few days ? That might be because of a public holiday for example. I was wondering why yesterday was quite not a good day, that how i learnt about Colombus day in USA 🙂

Today is only Tuesday of a new week, following a weekend during which it is rare to get any sales.

Yes, drastically for me for the last three months. To the point that I am discouraged to add any more images. Videos are still a bit better and reviewed quicker. I contribute to around 7 platforms and Adobe used to be on the top. Unfortunately now is at the bottom of them all.

@Bardhok.N and @Shahid4420,

Is your content human-authored or machine-made (AI)?

99.99% is aerial drone photos and videos that have been selling very well until June this year. It is from June that the decline has started. I only have around 30 AI photos and I don't think I am doing any more of these. It takes forever to pass the review due to the enormous amount of submissions. I have to mention that same photos and vides from my catalog have been doing pretty well on the other platforms on the last few months. I like Adobe so I hope this is just an isolated anomaly.

Adobe constantly adds assets (more choice for the customer, but more competition to existing assets) and there are more customers using stock (more sales), also because stock is used in some Adobe programs and services like Adobe Express. In addition, there are very interesting subscription models for companies.

Now, appart from seasonal effects, it may well be that your assets get less visibility, because customers select assets from competitors. The more assets Adobe adds, the more pronounced this should get.

Adobe has grown the database by ~35% just in the past 9 months which has increased competiton for all of us.

A bad month of August, but really bad! With a resumption of sales around mid-September and which continues upwards.   My portfolio is 80% AI, 20% photos.

Adobe is adding well over 500,000 AI assets to the database each week, and there seems to be a lot of repetition among the themes, with many contributors copying each other. So it sort of makes sense that with so much competition, individual sales might decline...

Changes in customer purchasing habits comes with the territory.

No. I submit photographs (no AI), and after slow sales in August, I have experienced higher than ever sales in September. October is off to a good start too. If your portfolio includes only AI assets, it's possible that declining sales are a result of the dramatic increase in the number of AI assets in the database which have created a lot more competition.
