Significant decrease in sales

Hello Everyone. My Adobe account was suspended about 4 weeks ago. Then it opened within 3 days. But after my account is suspended, I cannot access my old sales. My account, which did not go below 20 dollars a day last year, does not even make 5 dollars a day now. Could the low sales have something to do with the suspension and opening of my account?

I use a translator because I don't speak English. I didn't say Adobe was old, I said it couldn't keep up with other stock sites in terms of product review. Sometimes the translator translates incorrectly. Sometimes I look at the images of other participants and many participants design the images from artificial intelligence and many images have other watermarks in visible places that do not belong to Adobe. If real people are reviewing these posts, why do they approve them?

They are humans; they make mistakes. Usually watermarks are easily spotted, and easily removed. It isn't hard to find poor-quality AI images on Adobe Stock. Moderators have gained a lot of experience and training since Adobe started accepting AI images just over a year ago. They are much better at spotting errors now, and thus the rejection rate has gone up considerably, which has caused a lot of dissatisfaction among Contributors. When flawed images are reported to Adobe, they re-review the image and reject it if warranted. Sometimes that can trigger the review of an entire account, and is perhaps one of the reasons that images are suspended - because of poor quality assets.

Yes, a suspension hurts the position and the sales. You will need some time to get back to your old sales numbers. But it is well possible, that you do not reach the same level again, as stock customers may currently not be in need of your style.

You say $20 a day last year. When? Just before your account was closed or in July? Were the images seasonal related?

  • Before my account was closed, I wasn't making less than $20 a day. But my account was closed and reopened 3 days later, but I could not reach my old sales figures.

Then I assume @Jill_C was correct in suggesting that the search algorithm has pushed you back.

Though no one knows the secrets of the search algorithm, we do know that it prefers previously sold assets and accounts that remain current, i.e. those that are regularly uploading new content. While your account was offline, your assets were not being picked up the search algorithm. It will take time to climb back up to your previous levels. Meanwhile, keep up a steady stream of small uploads. Slow but steady is the best approach.

There is a quota of 3001 image submissions. You said to continue with small downloads. However, since the review takes at least 3 months, I am waiting for 3001 images to be uploaded and reviewed. Do you think this is a bad thing?

The review stopped when you got suspended and probably restarted at 0 when your account got enabled again. You will have to wait for about 8 weeks after the end of the suspension.
