I agree with @yamato713108855 that the asset would probably have been rejected for quality issues has it passed the "too similar gatekeeper." In any event, if you want to get an idea just how similar your asset is (or in fact is not), go to stock.adobe.com and drag your image into the browser window, where you can upload it to discover similar (or relatively similar) assets in the database. I too have issues with the "too similar" rejections. Are they being compared to assets that have never sold, even though they may have been available for X number of years? Are the assets being submitted today better than those old, unsold assets in the database? I have nothing against assets being rejected for this reason, but I do believe there is some over-reach occurring. For example, when I inserted your asset into the database, there were a few examples of apples that turned up. But an apple is only similar in shape your image of a watermelon.

All that said, as for the image itself, I believe could it could be improved with some context and better composition. The "similars" that popped up were all composed dead center against a blank background, which, if AI or an algorithm is involved, it is bound to tag this asset as similar in those respects.

The image is too blurry because it is zoomed in too much.
Please zoom in to 100% and check before posting.

The reasons for rejection are not always correct.
