Question

Similar images again

I just went through 100 pages of diverse images, and there isn't one that has anything to do with putting makeup on a man. They say they want diverse images, yet they did not accept this one, for similar, which there are none like this.

These were also not accepted for quality. Can you tell me why, please?

    I see what you found:

    1. Women putting makeup on
    2. Men wearing makeup

There is no white man with a Black male putting makeup on the white man, nothing even similar. I feel there is no reason this image should not have been accepted, since there are no similar images. I see there is a lot of makeup, but there aren't two men interacting. And they aren't the concept of my image. I appreciate the images you created to show me the difference in the quality.

Look again without any filters enabled.

    https://stock.adobe.com/search?k=male+makeup+artist

Stock has a good mix of makeup artists with multiple sexes & races represented.

Back to my original question: What keywords did you assign and in what order?

I think keywords are the biggest hurdle for people struggling with “similar content” refusals.

Similar content issues aside, there are other issues.

I probably have over 3000 assets in my portfolio with the keywords cosmetics, skincare, makeup, and beauty. And I’m confident there are hundreds of thousands more using the same keywords. It’s why I don’t use them anymore or use fewer or put them last. Here’s the keywords Gemini suggested:

makeup, artist, eyeshadow, palette, applying, eye, male, model, blue, plaid, shirt, colorful, brushes, powders, wooden, table, cosmetics, grooming, professional, styling, preparation, handsome, beauty, portrait, lifestyle

There’s room for improvement. Skin texture for sure. Her hair needs detail. The colors of the hairband are muddled. Also, the square format is AI 101. She needs a more interesting environment.
