White balance needs correction. Snow should be white, not blue.

To compensate, I used a warming filter with Photoshop’s Photo Filter tool on an Adjustment Layer.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you, that makes sense. I’ll make the correction.

Tatiana, as a longtime career professional, I don’t understand why your photos were rejected, which implicitly says I respectfully disagree with everyone else's opinions suggesting why.

I have been experiencing high approval rates, and my sales continuing to grow. But in recent days like you, I am experiencing unusual rejections for quality issues. The only thing I can think off is some kind of automated unintentional rejection, coming from Adobe’s striving to improve the contributors and buyers experience.

(One piece of advice, always try to maximize your depth of field)

Personally, I will try to upload the rejected photos in a couple of weeks.

    Best of luck!

Please start a new topic along with 1-2 assets that didn’t get accepted. Often a second or third pair of eyes can help us see things we missed in curation.

Interesting… Perhaps it’s my original thought… a temporary price to pay for longer term gains

    Hello,

Bear in mind that with such photos you will need a model release for the person , and no doubt a property release for the car and motorcycles - that comes under IP.

    Model and IP

In terms of the quality, I think you could improve the composition - try a different angle, and emphasis being at the carwash.

There is, of course, a release; the problem with the merger lay precisely in the ‘quality of the photos’

    Hey @Diatlova Tatiana

    Let’s take the car:
I would start with getting rid of the distractions: grate under the car, the tree, and the wires and metal something behind the car.

In Lightroom or Photoshop you could use a few adjustment layers: levels, curves adjustment, and a few others hue / saturation to make the rims pop.

Remember to ask yourself: who is your target audience?
Where would this image be used?
When would this image be use?
How would this image be used?

    Cheers

    Nate

    1. The car is overexposed and has total detail loss in the shadows which cannot be recovered. It is also poorly cropped. Meaning the building in the background and the front cut off while there is room on the left.
    2. The snow is overexposed and has some loss in the shadows and has too much blue. These can all be recovered. See below.
    3. The motorcycles are slightly underexposed and the horizontal and vertical lines are off. The photo also needs to be sharpened. See below.

Thanks for the advice, but I feel your colour processing is lacking; the photo looks a bit hazy.

Sure, maybe. However, I must add that Adobe is very sensitive about exposure problems  and color over saturation.

I don’t see anything wrong with them. They have turned down every picture I submitted, which sold over 100 times a year.

Not to jump on to your thread, but can someone tell me how to ask questions with pictures in this forum

To ask a question, click ‘+ Create a post’ in the top right.

While writing, click ‘Insert Image’ to add photos. Very large images may not work, so you might need to resize them.

    Insert image button
