Technical difficulties

I fail to understand how an image that has been featured in a magazine as a two-page spread can be refused because of techinical difficulties and yet a image that I scanned from a slide I took 40 years ago can be accepted. Boggles my mind.

The magazine may have skilled graphics experts who can take care of technical issues on their end.  We don't know what they received or what they did with it prior to printing.

High quality scans that are processed properly can lend good results, especially if the subject has some commercial interest to Stock Customers.  Getting an image accepted is only the tip of the iceberg though.  The bigger question is how many sales did it make for you?
