Hello everyone, first try to become a contributor here, I uploaded several pictures, several themes, but receive bad news and none was accepted, mostly on this repeated  message: Common issues that can impact the technical quality of images include exposure issues, soft focus, excessive filtering or artifacts/noise. ie this image of the sunrise-church was taken in iso 100 and F 11...🤔 and the one of the red bench in ISO 100 f8, so what is it? my lightroom preset?  Thank you for your comments

Hi Jen, I was not able to open your photos. You don’t mention what was your shutter speed, and that is often the reason for lack of sharpness. Assuming the focus is good, I am confident to say your problem with both is mainly that both shots are overall about ½ stop dark. You can also improve in the color correction… the tricky part is that your monitor could be betraying you, and be a big part of the problem you are having.

If you are using Lightroom or Photoshop, you should be able to improve both shots so they make it past the finish line. Feel free to message me if you need more detailed help.

    Great Shots!

    Hey @Jen Lorainne17

The buildings are lovely. You may need a release form as well as they are landmarks.

    Let’s look at the bench:
Take a few moments, remove the lamp post, there is something about the building the is pulling my eye over there as well.
You could create a generative expand layer in PS and give the buyer space to add text/ copy to the image. Having space to add copy is a bit bonus.

    Cheers

I’m assuming your main subject is the red bench.

Histogram panel shows clipping. Those highlight pixels are lost.  ☹️

With a Levels Adjustment Layer to boost highlights.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello,

Due to the fact that the uploaded is convert to WEBP format, it is hard to comment about the actual quality, noise, artifacts etc, as it is now a compressed file.

However, I can suggest giving both photos more exposure. The foreground of both is a little dark, so you could bring some more light to that. And make a small adjustment in the vertical lines of the church photo.

PS, in my view the colour cast is fine - there isn’t one, due to the fact of the time of day and location - early evening, I guess!

You might be right about the color cast. I’m on my first release consumer-grade MacBook Air at the moment. But another thing that might result in a refusal is the plain roof of the building in the foreground disturbing an otherwise interesting image of intricately styled buildings.

Leaning verticals and an odd color cast.

The second image is significantly underexposed.

In the first image, you have leaning verticals, some artifacts in the sky, and some underexposed areas.
