The account was closed due to "multiple accounts," even though both accounts were created before the policy effective on March 25, 2025, came into force.

Title: Contributor since 2017 (Fotolia era) – account closed for "multiple accounts", though both accounts pre-date the March 25, 2025 policy

Hello everyone,

I'd like to share my case and ask for advice from experienced contributors and Community Experts. I hope it can also serve as a case study for others in the same situation.

Background:
- Account 1: created September 15, 2017 (Fotolia era) – live-action video only, no AI. I shot, graded and edited everything myself, hired models with signed releases, and produced content for Adobe briefs.
- Account 2: created before September 24, 2024 – generative AI video only, labeled as AI.
- No duplicate or similar content between the two accounts.

At the time, the Account and Submission Guidelines allowed separate accounts for different asset types, including generative AI versus traditional content:

When the new policy started on March 25, 2025, Adobe stated that contributors who already had more than one account did not need to take any action:

My account was nevertheless closed. I appealed with evidence, and received this reply:

"Our review confirmed that multiple Contributor accounts were created or operated without the required authorization from Adobe Stock, or in a manner that violates the Adobe Stock Account and Submission Guidelines. As a result, the original decision to close your account will remain in effect."

The reply did not address any of the points in my appeal, did not identify which account or files were the problem, and a follow-up case was closed without any response. It felt like a templated answer rather than a review of my evidence. I have now submitted a new appeal and am waiting.

My questions:
1. Has anyone with accounts created before March 25, 2025 had a similar closure and successfully appealed?
2. Is there any way to reach a senior reviewer or escalate beyond the standard Contact Us form?
3. Could "operated in a manner that violates the guidelines" refer to something other than the account creation dates? What should I check on my side?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
