The images I created myself keep coming up as 'similar'—I don't know what to do.

Case in point after a search: “39,792,363 results for abstract background and wallpapers.”

It’s useless to try to compete against these numbers even if your assets were accepted.

Remember to find something that stands out, your images are beautiful, the market has also changed. You may want to do some research and see what people are looking for or want. You could join us on Adobe Live Ryan has a File New episode and discusses market trends, design trends and many other design related content.

Completing with 36+ million images is going to be extremely tough. You will need to market yourself incredibly well.

Ask your local community. See what businesses may want.
    Cheers

Same for mine. Some really great ones, rejected. The algorithm or bot, or whatever, is extremely broken.

    Don’t blame the review process.

Everyone here is smart enough to search the database before submitting to Stock.

Read about “similar content” in your Contributor User Guide.

What a moronic, assinine answer. Based on that logic and the numbers, it isnt actually possible (except by random chance and algorithmic error), to upload anything at all. Literally EVERYTHING will be similar to something.

Most customers are interested in images of real people in real situations, interacting with other people and objects. Think about people at work, play, school, home, travel, healthcare, etc...

    Hope that helps.

There are half-a-billion abstract images, backgrounds & wallpapers available on Stock and free websites.  You’ll never find a buyer for these. There’s too much competition.

If you want to avoid refusals for “similar content,” work on content that’s more realistic and has some commercial value to advertisers and marketers.

There are millions of abstract backgrounds already available on Adobe Stock. You need to submit more unique material.
