Hi, I have the same problem as you. It started when my friend (using a different device and a different Wi-Fi connection) tried to download the free trial of my asset (since they haven’t subscribed to Adobe yet), but they couldn’t. Instead, they only saw the message ‘assets cannot be licensed.’ Even my free assets couldn’t be downloaded.

However, when they tried downloading assets from someone else’s account, it worked just fine, and they were shown the expected ‘monthly and annual subscription’ options. When I contacted customer support, they responded by saying, ‘I just checked with my team and got to know that the assets are not transferable. You can only use your assets; other people cannot download your assets.’

This confused me because my account has previously generated earnings, which means my assets should be available for download. So, I have no idea when this issue started. I also reached out to contributor support, and they told me there was no problem. However, buyers are unable to download assets from my account, and it seems highly likely that they can’t even find my portfolio through search. The only way they can see it is by manually clicking my account link.

So, I wanted to ask have you managed to resolve this issue? I really hope you have, and I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!

Your friend can't download assets without first creating an account to download them to -- either a free trial or a paid plan.

If everyone could download assets without an account, nobody would need to join Stock.  Do you see how that works?

I understand that an account is required to download assets. I want to clarify that my friend has already created an account and logged in. In fact, since clicking the download button requires logging in first, that confirms they were signed in. However, they still encountered the ‘assets cannot be licensed’ message. Could you please look into this issue further?

Do you have an Adobe Stock Subscription? That's the only way you can license an image. Anyway, the guidelines prohibit you from licensing your own assets.

A subscription or credit packs. Are you not having any luck selling?
