What did I do wrong the Focus is on the minaret

Zoom in 100-200% and you'll see that the minaret isn't sharply focused either. The large unfocused palm tree is distracting. Repositioning yourself would have possibly produced a better composition. Overall, the image is underexposed, and there is noise.

I think the exposure is OK. This looks like a handheld picture. At 200 mm and 1/5s, that is impossible to shoot, even if the lens or the sensor is stabilized. The noise is probably due to pushing the exposure in post-processing for a highly under exposed picture. And yes, the palm tree is really disturbing.

 

As a side note: the sentence is generic, and you do not need to repeat it here. We all have read that sentence 100 times at least. What is important is the header “Quality Issues” as that gives us the hint at what we need to look for.
