Question

Timelapse - Frame rate choice for online sales

Hello everybody,

probably a silly question, but I hope you will help me anyway. Selling time lapse videos on sites like Adobe Stock which frame rate do you prefer to use? 24p, 25p or 30p?

Through this site we sell to customers located all over the world (therefore both PAL and NTSC), which frame rate should you propose?

Thank you for the support ^_^

This is from Stock Contributor User Guide:

Frame rate

  • Don’t convert clips from their native frame rate unless you’re submitting a slow-motion or fast-motion video.
  • Deliver standard frame rates — 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, or 60.

Thank you Nancy.

I am trying to identify the "top selling" frame rate for time lapse. I cannot find any suggestion / information 😞

It's an interesting question. IMHO, It's not that important any more with the digital media.

I would go for the American standard of 30 or better 60 pictures/s, even that I'm located in Europe.

Thanks a lot for the answer. I will use 30p.

Correct me if I'm wrong: a 30p timelapse clip can be used in a 24p or 25p timeline with no loss of quality. it's correct?

Yes, if you run it at 24 or 25 fps. It will just take longer to play, so it will play slower. If you resample it, it will be modified and there will be a change in quality.
