Top Downloaded Image Formats on Adobe Stock

Hello fellow contributors, I’m curious about the most popular image formats on Adobe Stock. I’m already familiar with the 3:2 and 16:9 formats, but I’m wondering if 1:1 is also commonly downloaded. Are there any other image formats I should focus on to improve my downloads and visibility? Your insights and advice would be greatly appreciated!

The 16:9 aspect ratio is a great choice. It's a standard for modern screens, the aspect ratio allows for beautiful compositions and it's nice to look at. Plus, it's easy to crop.

Do what is good for your picture. You did not tell us, but I assume you are a generative AI contributor. It is probably best to have some kind of landscape asset, with some room around the main subject to crop the asset to the needed format.

I personally dislike 1:1 aspect ratios. They SCREAM beginner AI, even if they are actual photographs, there is no copy space for the buyer to include their own text, and they leave no room for cropping.

Thank you for your insights on 1:1 aspect ratios. Based on your feedback, would you recommend focusing exclusively on 3:2 and 16:9 formats for Adobe Stock submissions? Or are there other aspect ratios that still hold value for contributors?

No. It doesn't matter at the end of the day. But landscape assets compete well in the image jungle.
