Two photos rejected for “Quality Issues” — looking for feedback

Hello,

I would like to get some feedback on two photos that were rejected by Adobe Stock for “Quality Issues.”

I am trying to understand whether the rejection is mainly about technical image quality, or whether composition, usability, or overall stock value may also be factors.

1. Huinnyeoul Coastal Tunnel, Busan, South Korea

This is the original image with no post-processing.

It was taken with a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and submitted at 2048 × 2048 pixels.

The tunnel is a tourist spot in Busan, and the main subject is the view of the sea and Busan cityscape through the tunnel.

What do you think is the main reason this image was rejected?
Is it softness, noise, exposure, composition, or something else?

2. Kimchi fried rice

For this image, I will attach both the original and the edited version.

The edited version only has basic adjustments such as exposure, highlights, shadows, and sharpening.

This is a Korean food image, and I would also like to know whether the issue is mainly technical quality or whether the composition/stock usability is considered weak.

I would really appreciate your honest opinion on whether these images could be improved and resubmitted, or whether the original image quality is simply not sufficient for Adobe Stock.

Thank you!

Composition on the last two. You corrected the color on the second image but overexposed it while doing so. The landscape outside the tunnel is overexposed and has a bluish cast.

I would also suggest you do a search for kimchi fried rice on Adobe Stock to see what your competition is doing.

Thank you for your feedback and for even providing an annotated image. It was very helpful!

I corrected and resubmitted the Huinnyeoul Coastal Tunnel photo as suggested.

Regarding the fried rice photo, the cropped areas are already cut off in the original image, so they cannot be recovered.

Would it be acceptable to use Photoshop Generative Fill to extend the cropped areas slightly and improve the composition for an Adobe Stock submission?

Yes, it’s acceptable, generative expand is acceptable without having to label the result as AI. But there are still compositional issues involved that may still not make it suitable for acceptance. Food photography is an art unto itself.
