Hi all! Please explain what technical problems there are in my series, which was not accepted by the stock with the remark "Quality issues". Thanks in advance for your reply!
Your pictures are missing contrast besides the odd framing. If you want to produce commercially viable pictures, you simply don't photograph the “real thing”. You stage the action. You need to prepare the environment and get the correct light at the required place. Furthermore, you also need to take care of lens flare, where it is disturbing:

I did a quick and dirty edit. It's better, but it's still not good enough. And the stool in the background is disturbing.
They could have also refused for Commercial Appeal, IMHO.

In general, overexposed areas of each frame and not all are well composed. I would think that the Moderator would have rejected at least some of these based on "similars". It seems focal point should have been the hand/squeege, and if so, they weren't sharply focused.
IMO, your composition and camera angles could have been better. I think you needed to pull the camera back more. Also the window reflection in 485 is particularly distracting. It's looks like an accidental double-exposure.
In terms of commercial use, how do yours compare with current Stock inventory?
